Christabel Randolph (Bangladesh, Georgetown Law)
Christabel is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. She holds an Advanced Certification in AI Policy from CAIDP. She has experience working across South-Asia and the Middle-East with multinational corporations, the WHO, IDLO and in private practice. She completed her LL.M in Technology Law & Policy as a merit scholar from Georgetown University Law Center. She also completed a masters in law & economics as an Erasmus Mundus scholar. Christabel commits time as General Secretary of Vattara Hope Foundation, a non-profit that runs the School of Hope (founded in 1990) for slum children in Dhaka and Executive Member, Board of Trustees of World Concern Bangladesh operating micro-finance for ultra-poor in Bangladesh.
Kyler Zhou
Kyler Zhou is a student at Princeton University studying public policy at the School for Public and International Affairs, information technology, and philosophy. His academic interests lie in AI ethics and education policy. Kyler is the Director of Programs at the American Whig-Cliosophic Society, a member of Princeton’s AI Alignment program, and freelances for various newspapers in New Jersey.
Kara Kelawan
Kara Kelawan is a rising 2L at Harvard Law school. She has a keen interest in the use of AI for global improvement, and is dedicated to promoting ethical standards, ensuring accountability, eliminating bias, and prioritizing a human-centric approach in AI development. At Harvard, Kara serves as the Programs Chair of Harvard Law’s American Constitutional Society, an editor for the law school’s Journal of Law and Technology and is actively involved in Harvard Law School's Advocates for Human Rights.
Sammy Duggasani
Sammy is a student at Harvard College, studying Government, Data Science, and Computer Science. He has previously conducted research with Harvard faculty on both identity politics in India and the ethical perceptions of practical AI applications. Sammy’s senior thesis will investigate the use of AI in government surveillance, focusing on its implications for electoral politics in multiethnic democracies, particularly India. His academic interests include government surveillance, identity politics in multiethnic democracies, and bias in AI algorithms. Sammy is committed to exploring how these technologies influence democratic processes and individual freedoms.
Kaely Hall
With a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry and a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Kaely Hall is an established technologist in the field of responsible artificial intelligence (AI). After several years as a product owner in Big Tech, developing expertise in Agile software development, Kaely identified a rapidly increasing need to investigate user-centered solutions for responsible AI systems, especially for users with different cognitive and physical abilities and needs. As such, she is now pursuing a PhD in Human-Centered Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a primary research focus of supporting the agency of neurodivergent users through thoughtful, purposeful, and ethical AI and XAI design. Kaely’s work has been published in several top-tier human-computer interaction conferences and seeks not only to advance scholarship in AI technology design for neurodivergence, but also consider the technology’s role in fostering societal acceptance and inclusivity of historically disadvantaged groups
Giulia Neaher
Giulia Neaher is a Master in Public Policy candidate and Public Service Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, where she is studying the design and implementation of responsible technology policy. At Harvard, Giulia serves on the board of the HKS AI & Tech Policy Caucus and was a Spring 2024 Student Leader in AI with the Berkman Klein Center. Giulia previously worked as an Assistant Director at the Atlantic Council GeoTech Center, where she led projects related to responsible AI, geopolitical technology competition, and international technology standards. She has published research reports on responsible AI policy in the Global South and international technology standardization with the Igarape Institute and Atlantic Council. Giulia is interested in designing responsible and inclusive technology policy to ensure that technology’s benefits are distributed equitably and with adequate protections for all.
Victor Liu
Ruoyu (Victor) Liu is a rising 3L student at Georgetown Law, and a Technology Law and Policy Scholar. He is interested in digital platform governance and AI policies across the world. Last summer, he interned at the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Section of the New Jersey Office of Attorney General. Before law school, Victor studied foreign affairs and public policy at the University of Virginia and worked as a policy analyst in China, which fueled his interest in technology law. He is also working as the Executive Senior Editor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Washington DC on his bicycle, watching soccer and Formula 1, and learning about random things
Jamie Gonzalez
Jamie Gonzalez is a senior at Duke University, pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Psychology. With extensive experience in both technical and neuroscience research methods, she is interested in leveraging her knowledge of human cognition and psychological development to develop AI systems that are ethical, moral, and socially beneficial. Jamie's research spans various areas, including EEG microstate analysis, childhood identity development, and the interplay between data visualizations and cognitive science to inform AI decision-making. Additionally, her involvement in web development and digital archiving projects has deepened her interest in human-computer interaction and commitment to making technology more intuitive and accessible for all. Her interests also include addressing algorithmic bias and enhancing clinical decision-making in healthcare through the implementation of robust and fair AI frameworks. She is passionate about advocating for AI policies that incorporate both psychological and ethical insights to create a legal framework for AI deployment that upholds ethical norms, protects user autonomy and rights, and meets global standards.
Nayyara Rahman, Policy Group Coordinator
Nayyara Rahman is a technology management professional with a focus on digital civil rights, specifically data protection and privacy.
Her work in translating data protection via a tech-driven solution was selected for Pakistan's second AWS AI/ML reactor, and was also selected for presentation at the International Anti-Corruption Academy's Regional Alumni Conference. In 2022, Nayyara Rahman became a Program Envoy for ITU's 'Women In Cyber' Program, to make technology, and specifically, cybersecurity more inclusive and diverse. She was also invited to share her findings on data management and privacy via two workshops at the Bits and Baüme Conference 2022.
She is active as a researcher, speaker and university faculty member. She is the author of whitepapers which analyze the applicability of data protection laws in context of territory, with a focus on divides between the Global North and South. Her core interest areas, transparency and accountability, have also been addressed through the lens of responsible data management. She presented her learning on the negotiated relationship between surveillance and privacy at the Freedom Not Fear Conference, Brussels 2023. Ren Bin Lee Dixon, Agile Team
Ren Bin is an Artificial Intelligence policy analyst and has published award-winning policy papers in academic journals. In addition to her contributions to the Policy Group at the Center for AI and Digital Policy, Ren Bin is collaborating with the Center for Security and Technology on a series of papers addressing AI incidents. Ren Bin earned her Master's in Public Policy with a concentration in AI policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. Prior to her policy career, Ren Bin had over fifteen years of experience in the fashion industry, having worked in Malaysia, China, and Denmark. Currently, she is based in the United States.
Daphne Njeri Wanjiku, Agile Team
Daphne is a distinguished privacy expert currently holding the position of Data Protection Officer (DPO) at a top private university in Kenya. With a remarkable track record in navigating the intricate landscape of data protection, Daphne ensures the implementation of rigorous privacy policies, safeguarding the confidentiality of student and staff data within the university. Daphne is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a member of the Africa Privacy Lawyers Association (APLA) and Kenya Privacy Professionals Association (KPPA).
Beyond her role as a DPO, Daphne is a vocal AI policy enthusiast, advocating for ethical and responsible AI practices. Recognizing the delicate balance required between technological advancements and individual privacy, Daphne engages in discussions, training sessions and collaborative initiatives to shape policies that govern the ethical use of artificial intelligence. Her unique combination of roles as a privacy advocate, AI policy enthusiast and legal professional underscores a holistic commitment to advancing privacy principles in the digital age, making Daphne a standout figure at the forefront of Kenya's evolving privacy landscape.
Jaya Vijayen, Agile Team
Jaya is currently working as a regulatory affairs and audits expert at a biotechnology company in Silicon Valley, California. Prior to her current position, she held leadership and board of director roles for various nonprofit organizations in Silicon Valley. In addition, she was a web developer and instructional designer for companies in Silicon Valley. Jaya has a strong interest in the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI), regulations, human rights, and policy development, with a particular focus on governance, ethics, accountability, transparency, and responsible innovation in deep learning technologies, data analytics and quantum computing.
Jaya earned her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University, USA. She holds several technology certificates such as quantum computing algorithm for cybersecurity, chemistry and optimization from MIT, deep learning technologies and data analysis Nanodegrees from Udacity, Python programming from HackBright Academy San Francisco, business analysis from UC Berkeley, CA and web design and development from UC Santa Cruz, CA. Jaya has successfully completed the CAIDP AI Policy with distinction, Advanced AI Policy and AI Policy Group.
Ruofei Wang, Agile Team
Ruofei Wang has been focusing on AI, technology and Internet governance as policy analyst and researcher. Her research interests centre on the intersection of AI governance and international peace, particularly in relation to global AI superpowers. She wishes to be part of the effort to advance effective global collaboration in tackling risks and challenges posed by advanced AI technologies through impactful research.
Duta Daniela, EU AI Act Team
Daniela Duță is a PhD Candidate in European law at the Institute of Legal Research “Andrei Radulescu”, Romanian Academy, Department of Economic, Social and Legal Sciences and her research is about the protection of fundamental rights, privacy and personal data in the European Union. Her work focuses on law, data protection, privacy, Artificial Intelligence regulation and new technologies. Her previous work includes more than 15 years of legal experience and data protection in European financial institutions.
She has a degree in law and a Masters degree in European Law. She has completed several courses on AI, data protection, European Union and English Law at the University of Cambridge, Faculty of Law and Company Law courses at the International Summer School on European Business and Corporate Law at the Heinrich-Heine Universität Düsseldorf, Center for Business & Corporate Law.
She has participated in national and international conferences on topics related to data protection, private life and artificial intelligence.
Daniela Constantin, EU AI Act Team
Daniela Constantin is an all-round general litigation lawyer in corporate and administrative matters, with over 15 years of experience in representing corporate clients from various industries, as well as central and local authorities. She previously practiced in major Bucharest based law firms and now has her own practice in Brașov (Romania). Her education includes an L.L.M. in Human Rights (Central European University, Hungary) and post-graduate studies in Business Law (Illinois Institute of Technology, School of American Law, Greece). She conducted legal research on discrimination at the Public Interest Law Initiative (Budapest Office, Hungary). Her areas of interest include privacy and data protection, coupled with research on ethic AI development and deployment in law enforcement procedures. She is focused also on strategic litigation at EU level, being enrolled in Berlin based Hertie School of Management’s Starlight programme – Rule of Law Stream.
Cigdem Akin, EU AI Act Team
Çiğdem Akin has been working as an EU Affairs Expert in Türkiye for more than ten years. After graduating from İhsan Doğramacı Bilkent University (Türkiye) Faculty of Law, she worked as a research assistant in the International Relations Department of the same university and completed her master's degree in the European Union and Global Political Economy (MA) in this department. She completed another master's degree in Public International Law (LLM) from the Law School of Cambridge University (UK) with a Jean Monnet scholarship, and during her time there she was an editor at the Cambridge Journal of International Relations and Comparative Law. Her area of expertise is Türkiye's harmonization with European Union legislation mainly in the fields of judiciary, fundamental rights and freedoms, justice and security. She has studies and publications especially on Türkiye-EU relations and EU human rights law. She is motivated to learn more about the legal aspects of artificial intelligence and especially its intersection with the protection of personal data.
Nidhi Sinha, G7/G20 Team
Nidhi Sinha works full time in consulting for Responsible AI implementation and policies for business. She is passionate about multidisciplinary collaboration, partnering with organizations such as the AI Vulnerability Database (AVID) and WorldEnabled to promote ethical AI across different domains. She currently leads CAIDP's efforts on engaging with the G7 and G20, and has been with CAIDP since 2022. She has a Bachelor of Arts from New York University in Mathematics and Computer Science, with a minor in Philosophy, and is based in San Francisco, California. Some of her top interests include cybersurveillance, workers' rights, and the intersection of disability and AI.
Evelina Ayrapetyan, G7/G20 Team
Evelina Ayrapetyan is a researcher, communication strategist, and advocate for human rights and democracy at the intersection of emerging technologies in repressive environments. Evelina was recently selected as a Security Fellow by the Truman National Security Project, and received her AI policy training at the Center for AI and Digital Policy where she currently serves as a Policy Group member. Evelina’s work is centered on safeguarding democracy abroad, especially in lesser-covered nations and she is committed to her work fighting state-sponsored disinformation on the Internet as it pertains to the training of generative AI platforms. Evelina has worked with a variety of philanthropic organizations, coaching teams, fostering communities, and playing a pivotal role in the creation and implementation of economic development programs for various stakeholders. Evelina’s unique lens into her work has been shaped by living and traveling in countries like Armenia, Spain, Nigeria, Cuba, and the UAE. Evelina completed her MA in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at The University of Chicago in 2022, and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Caroline Friedman Levy, G7/G20 Team
Caroline Friedman Levy is a clinical psychologist, researcher and policy specialist focused on applying behavioral science to the implementation of evidence-based policies. She completed her undergraduate work at Cornell University, doctoral work in clinical psychology at the University of Vermont, earned an M.Sc. in health, community and development at the London School of Economics and Political Science, served as a policy fellow at the Department for Education in the UK and is a Research-to-Policy Collaboration Scholar at the Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center, Pennsylvania State University.
Selin Ozbek Cittone, G7/G20 Team
Selin Ozbek Cittone is the Data Protection Partner at KPO+ Privacy and Beyond in Turkey: Selin also joined the stellar team at Privacy Partnership in the UK as a consultant and AI specialist.
She joined the AI Clinic of the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP) as a research member and now she is a member of the Policy Group of CAIDP.
Selin holds 2 bar admissions (in Turkey and England & Wales), an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe (CIPP/E) accreditation.
Tamiko Eto, OECD Team
Tamiko Eto currently serves as Director of Research Operations at Mayo Clinic, one of the leading healthcare institutions globally in developing and deploying AI/ML-enabled healthcare technologies. She has over 18 years of experience in the field of human subjects research protections managing research compliance, technology risk assessment, data sharing agreements; conducting the review of complex industry and federally funded AI research, and policy interpretation and development. She leverages this experience to implement policies and guidance to AI-enabled healthcare research projects. She works closely with AI researchers and regulatory bodies in addressing ethical and regulatory challenges related to AI. To facilitate researchers and Institutional Review Board (IRB)/Ethics Committees (EC) professionals across the US she has developed tools and checklists for IRBs to use in their review of AI research, as well as has published several training modules and webinars for the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program). Ms. Eto also serves as an AI Ethics Advisory Board member for the Institute of Experiential AI (EAI) at Northeastern University; is a Policy Group member at the Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP), a contributing member of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST Generative AI Public Working Group), a contributing member of AEREO: The Consortium to Advance Effective Research Ethics Oversight; a member of the IEEE Society on Social Implications of Technology and Standards Association; and the Associate Editor and Board Member for Systems Concepts, Theory and Policy in Biology and Medicine Journal.
Dominique Greene-Sanders, OECD Team
Dominique is a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy, working on a dissertation on thought experiments in ethics. She holds key leadership roles with the American Philosophical Association and Association for Practical and Professional Ethics. She is an emerging leader in the discipline of applied ethics and pursuing a career in AI policy and AI ethics consulting.
Lyantoniette Chua, OECD Team
Lyantoniette Chua is a Fellow at the Center for AI and Digital Policy, Washington DC. Lyan also recently founded The Ambit and sits as its Global Convenor, as well as the council Co-Chair of its national founding chapter The Ambit Philippines. Recently, she is listed among 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics for 2024.
A rising star from Southeast Asia, Lyan is an AI Ethics Policy and Governance consultant, mentor, and speaker from the Philippines - putting her background in the arts (philosophy) and sciences (computer engineering) full circle. She is currently pursuing global AI governance in the intersection of geopolitics, with a focus on the Global Majority, the Global South, and Southeast Asia.
Lyan has received the CAIDP AI Policy certification and the CAIDP AI Policy - Advanced certification, both with distinction. Lyan was named a CAIDP Fellow in 2022, and was a Teaching Fellow in Spring 2023 and Policy Group Coordinator in Fall 2023.
Claudio Ndeleva Mutua, UN/UNESCO Team
Claudio Mutua is an attorney at Sian Mutua Advocates, Nairobi, Kenya. He holds an LLB and a post-graduate diploma in law. He is also a certified secretary (Kenya) and is currently undertaking his LLM in human rights at the University of Nairobi. His interests lie in the intersection of law, privacy and human rights, and emerging digital technologies, including AI.
Varsha Sewlal, UN/UNESCO Team
Varsha Sewlal is a Privacy and Technology Lawyer skilled in providing sound legal expertise across highly regulated public sector environments. She is a judicious and incisive team leader adept at collaborating with cross- functional, multi-disciplined stakeholders in identifying and mitigating potential legal risks, resulting in improved output and optimal cost saving opportunities to ensure future growth and sustainability. She is an analytical problem-solver, proficient in planning and implementing innovative strategies to enhance technological and data protection capabilities in line with strict compliance measures. Varsha is a Cyber Resilience Digital Access Program Trainer, with a proven track record in drafting legal guidelines, policies, regulations, and impact assessments-to support citizens in understanding and complying with data protection regulatory frameworks. She has demonstrated expert skills in drafting and managing heads of argument, contracts, legal opinions, legal frameworks, policies, and research papers, and is an astute researcher on Data Privacy, Data Security, Data Transfers, AI Regulation, Global Data Protection and Cybersecurity Frameworks and ICT law (spectrum, broadband universal access, interconnection, open data). She has also been active in the development and implementation of Compliance Regulatory Programs.
Dr. Grace Thomson, Teaching Fellow
Dr. Thomson is the Academic Director at CERT, the corporate arm of the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT). She leads expert teams in the conceptualization and operation of two academies: AI Academy and the VAT Academy. The AI Academy, created in 2019, is an initiative to empower UAE talent and bridge the gap in AI talent and AI knowledge, through national programs in cognitive technology skills for ethical AI adoption.
CERT is a member of the UAE AI Network, an initiative of the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence to increase AI adoption with a human-centered approach. Dr. Thomson’s solid ability to engage internal and external stakeholders in strategic triple-helix roadmaps is the driver behind the plans of CERT to develop occupational standards in Data Science, Data Analytics, Software Engineering, AI, Cybersecurity, and Blockchain for the workforce of the future. She leads strategies for the creation of Talent Acceleration models that, relying on principles of human development and technology development, ethically use ML models and analytics in career pathway formulation and employability. In cooperation with CERT’s partners, she leads the creation of research ecosystem platforms to connect faculty-student researchers to applied projects with industry.
Tina Lassiter,

Tina is a former German lawyer with an LL.M. from the Tulane Law School. PhD student in Information Studies at the University of Texas at Austin with a focus on AI and Ethics, in particular AI Auditing. At the University of Texas, she is part of the NSF-funded Research Traineeship program Ethical AI. Researcher with the Good Systems Core Research Program “Making Smart Hand Tools Work for Everyone”. Tina received the CAIDP AI Policy certifications with distinction and was appointed CAIDP Teaching Fellow in Spring 2024.
Anca Radu,
Teaching Fellow
Anca Radu is a Romanian teaching fellow working as a doctoral researcher in Law at the European University Institute. She examines legal and ethical questions around the design, development, and deployment of AI systems in the judiciary. Her research focuses on the impact of these applications on human rights, democracy, and the rule of law. She is also a Teaching Assistant at the School of Transnational Governance, EUI. Besides her academic activities, she collaborates with international organizations on AI policy and regulation. She currently acts as an independent Scientific Expert for the Council of Europe’s European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ).
Alexandra Krastins
Alexandra Krastins is an attorney in São Paulo, Brasil. Former project manager at the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD). Participated in strategic decisions, interinstitutional agreements, and investigation processes with national relevance. Cofounder and researcher at the Laboratory of Public Policy and Internet (LAPIN), which is an independent center of research and action dedicated to challenges related to a connected global society. Currently researching AI as a special student in the LL.M. program at the University of São Paulo (USP).
Amir Noy
Amir Noy is a lawyer specialized in the field of data governance, telecommunications and intellectual property laws and regulations, in particular regarding data protection and privacy compliance, media, digital advertising, biometrics, and Artificial Intelligence. Amir is a Certified Information Privacy Professional in European data protection regulations (CIPP/E). Amir serves as teaching assistant in “Legal Systems” and “Ethical Aspects of Algorithms” courses at Reichman University.
Amir graduated summa cum laude Master of Law (LL.M.) with a thesis in comparative constitutional theories, and studies in the honors thesis track in M.A. Law, Technology and Business Innovation program at the Reichman University.
Ananya Reddi
Ananya Reddi holds an MSc in Data Science from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Delhi. She is a Business Analyst in the International Analytics Team at Disney+Hotstar. Additionally, she is working as a Researcher at the LSE to investigate the impact of generative AI tools in higher education to assess their effectiveness in enhancing programming skills and critical thinking. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering for two non-profits, Project EduAccess and Women Who Code.
April Yoder
April Yoder is an Associate Professor in history at the University of New Haven. Since publishing her book, Pitching Democracy: Baseball and Politics in the Dominican Republic last year, she has shifted her focus from how citizens use sport to shape democracy (and vice versa) to how they interact with and shape AI to create democracies centered on equal opportunity and human rights. She participates in CAIDP’s clinics to develop the skills and expertise to shift to a new role in policy or Responsible AI more broadly.
Artim Kobrin
Artem Kobrin is a privacy lawyer with over 9 years of experience, including significant roles as a senior privacy specialist at Ukraine's largest bank “PrivatBank” and privacy legislative compliance consultant at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. He holds various privacy certifications, including FIP, CIPT, CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPP/C, CIPP/A, CDPSE, and OneTrust Fellow of Privacy Technology. He is a co-author of the first GDPR compliance book in Ukraine. He is a member of the Expert Committee on the Development of Artificial intelligence in Ukraine under the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Bahaa El-Taweal
Bahaa El-Taweal is a Senior Policy Operations Manager with over 14 years of experience across various sectors. He specializes in global security, and crisis response, with an emphasis on adversarial abuse of technology.
Currently, Bahaa leads a policy operations team at Google tasked with responding to international crises such as terrorist attacks and armed conflicts. He holds a Master’s degree from Harvard University where he studied the intersection of emerging technology and global security, and a Law degree from Alexandria University.
Bahaa promotes responsible AI development that safeguards individual rights, and preserves democratic values.
Chelsea Cunningham
Chelsea Cunningham is a Senior Regulatory Compliance Consultant from Cork, Ireland based in London, with an interest in exploring the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and regulatory policy.
Chelsea holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Law as well as an MSc in International Public Policy & Diplomacy from University College Cork. She has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors and is currently Head of Knowledge Partners at a global product compliance SaaS provider. Chelsea has received the CAIDP AI Policy certification with distinction.
Desiree Valentine
I am an Attorney at Law and Notary Royal, admitted to the bars of Trinidad and Tobago and Saint Lucia with a passion for the intersection of law, policy and technology. My professional focus lies in judicial research in the Eastern Caribbean and unravelling the intricacies of online-based harms and anticipating the impact of AI on Caribbean judiciaries. I am committed to ensuring a resilient and equitable legal framework in the Caribbean.
Enelton Satria
Enelton Satria is a Tech Product Manager and AI Policy Researcher at Singapore's Infocomm Media Development Authority. He graduated with an MPhil in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge and a Double Degree in Business Administration (Accountancy) and Computing (Information Systems) from the National University of Singapore. Gamze Büşra Kaya is an AI Ethics Researcher at the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye and an expert in the Artificial Intelligence National Technical Committee of the Turkish Standards Institution. Her background is in philosophy. Her main research areas are AI ethics, governance of AI, and global AI policies. Her focused interest is trustworthy AI, the audit of AI systems, and standardization in AI.
Heramb Podar
Heramb Podar is a senior at IIT Roorkee, is focused on foundation artificial intelligence models aligned with human values. He previously interned at the Millennium Project, a futurist think tank on artificial intelligence standards. In the past, he has helped lead non-profit organizations that have helped more than 65,000 people across India during COVID-19 and has written a book on cryptocurrency policy in India.

Jaeseung Lee, from South Korea, is a MPA post-graduate student at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP). His focus is the mission-oriented innovation approach created by Dr. Mariana Mazzucato founder of the UCL IIPP.
He served as a Digital Economy and Society Researcher, at the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI)’s AI and Social Policy Center, supporting the organization of "Megatrends Shaping the Future of Digital Transformation to 2030". He was an Intern at the Asian Pacific Training Centre for ICT for Development (APCICT) under the UN ESCAP and the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS).
Julia Meltzer
Julia Meltzer is a Program Analyst at the United States’ Department of Housing and Urban Development. She is from New York City but is currently based out of San Francisco. Before joining HUD and CAIDP, she received a B.S. and an M.A. from Stanford University in Symbolic Systems and Linguistics, respectively. She is interested in the ethics of automation and how responsible tech policy, governance, and regulation can make the future more equitable. In her free time, she enjoys reading memoirs and speculative fiction, baking, and playing with her dog Shadow.

I'm currently an MPhil Sociology student at the University of Cambridge, delving into journalist-audience digital interactions and AI in journalism. I graduated with distinction from UCL's MPA in Digital Technologies and Policy, examining IoT privacy practices in China, the EU, and Japan, aligning with domestic and international IoT/AI standards and data protection laws. I held a first-class BA Journalism from the University of Sheffield, had experience with outlets like South West News Services in data and investigative journalism, and was recognised as a 'highly commended student data journalist' in 2023 by the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
Kristiina Juurmaa
Kristiina Juurmaa combines her Masters in Cognitive Science and background in Design and Management to study AI Policy from both academic and practitioner’s perspectives. As Head of Data Governance, she studies how data practices in organizations eventually enable more responsible, transparent, and constructive AI. She conducted research in Cognitive Neuroscience (University of Helsinki) and worked in humanitarian field at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Kristiina founded and led a data team that provides working life data as a service at one of Finland’s largest employers. She was recognized in Nordic 100 in Data, Analytics and AI 2023 list.
Laura Gacho
Laura Gacho is a Kenyan-based lawyer with an LL.M. from the University of Cape Town, specializing in Intellectual Property Law. During her LL.M. studies, she explored the nexus of IP and technology, examining the impact of AI on current legal frameworks. In her current role as in-house counsel, she provides legal guidance on diverse commercial law and compliance regulatory matters including data protection and technology. Mouloud has an extensive experience as a lecturer and seminar leader facing diverse audiences, leading workshops on digital strategies for innovation hubs and knowledge economy ecosystems. Mouloud is an instructor for The Internet Society, a policy analyst for the GIP Digital Watch Observatory. Nana Khechikashvili
Nana Khechikashvili is an experienced and detail-oriented lawyer working now at JSC Georgian State Electrosystem (GSE), the sole electricity transmission system operator in Georgia. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in International Business Law with a thesis that explores the intersection of the rapid development of AI and its intersection with Personal Data and Digital Privacy. Nana’s commitment to ethical innovation is reflected in published works, including articles on machine learning ethics, corporate benefits over human rights, and intellectual property rights in the metaverse. Also, her recent paper on navigating the legal and ethical dimensions of machine learning in the age of AI.
Nate McFaul
Nate McFaul graduated from Boston University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy in 2023 and plans to pursue graduate education in philosophy. He resides in Portland, OR where he works as a paralegal at a legal malpractice law firm. He is interested in algorithmic fairness and the political nature of AI. In his free time, Nate volunteers with the Prison Math Project, studies for the U.S. patent bar exam, takes computer science courses, reads, and walks in the forest with his two golden retrievers.

Nelly Rousseau started her career as a Young Business Leader with Orange, the leading telecom operator in France, where she managed customer success, launched strategic partnerships for their first IoT solution and managed a $12 million portfolio in b2b sales. Exploring the intersection of technology and public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, she conducted research on digital regulation and taught internet governance. Nelly is passionate about harnessing the power of technology and shaping policies & markets to create positive impact at scale. Nelly holds a Masters from a top French business school and an MPA from Harvard.
Olga Grygorovska
Olga is a lawyer and currently works on compliance of data processing at the Executive Directorate of Legal Affairs at INTERPOL. She has previously worked as a lawyer at the European Court of Human Rights. She holds an LL.M degree in Human Rights Law from the Queen Mary University of London. Olga also served as a member of the Council of Europe Working Group on development of an online teaching course on cybercrime.
In 2023 Olga has completed the CAIDP AI Clinic with distinction. She is interested in the intersection of AI development, data protection, and digital governance.

Soledad Guilera
Soledad Guilera holds a master’s degree from Columbia University and was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Massachusetts. She is a lecturer at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley and a professor of AI and Government at Torcuato Di Tella University. Soledad led the international expansion of Bloomberg's What Works Cities Certification to Latin America, served as advisor to Argentina’s 2030 Development Program and Buenos Aires City's AI Strategy, and was the Executive Director of the Center for Evidence-Based Policy (CEPE). She has experience working for Deloitte Consulting in their Strategy and Operations practice in New York.
